  4. INSTALLATION:

  6. To install the VB2000 CD-ROM, log onto your CD-ROM drive and type
  7. "SETUP." You will be prompted for the destination directory and the
  8. drive letter of your CD-ROM. The setup routine will copy some
  9. necessary DLLs into the Windows directory and the program files
  10. into the directory you specify.

  12. To view the documentation, consult the VB2000 help file or
  13. VB2000.WRI.

  16. Please note that SHARE.EXE must be loaded to run the VB2000 CD-ROM.
  17. If SHARE is not loaded, the program will not work properly and no 
  18. files will be listed in the Programs List Box.

  21. INSTALLATION ERRORS:
  22.  
  23. Occasionally a DLL will be in use when you install VB2000. Make sure 
  24. you close all applications prior to setup. If you still cannot install
  25. a particular file, it is generally safe to click on "IGNORE" and continue 
  26. with the installation. If you encounter errors running VB2000 following 
  27. the installation, you can copy the uncompressed DLL found in [D:]\VB2000 
  28. where D: is the CD-ROM drive, into the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
  29. DO NOT COPY AN OLDER DLL OVER A NEWER ONE! It is preferable to compare
  30. file versions using a utility such as Quickview (Win95) prior to
  31. copying.
